Chocolatier Robots
Over the past few weeks, we persuaded renowned maître chocolatier Guido Castagna to lend his artisan workshop to test the capabilities of one of our cobots. The result was excellent: our HC10 handled gianduiotti and chocolates with such delicacy and precision that it earned the hat of assistant chocolatier (for a day).

What better time than Christmas to talk about Chocolate? Master chocolatier Guido Castagna Cioccolatiere Torrefattore hosted us in his laboratory to test the capabilities of our collaborative robot. Thanks in part to the versatility of Piab's gripping systems , we used the collaborative robot, instructed by Guido himself through the integrated teaching systems, to reproduce the same operations performed every day in the lab. In this first video, our collaborative robot works with Giuinott®, the famous gianduiotti, demonstrating that it can handle even the most precious products with extreme delicacy and precision. An example of great versatility in every application.
Second episode of our experience at the workshop of master chocolatier Guido Castagna. In this case our collaborative robot, equipped with a dedicated Piab gripping system, tried its hand at the pick and place application with chocolate bars, loading the wrapping machine. Again, it is important to emphasize the incredible versatility of the collaborative robot, which is perfectly at ease in a context of very high craftsmanship.
Third challenge for our collaborative robot in the laboratory of master chocolatier Guido Castagna. This time our Cobot had to perform multiple tasks. Transferring the precious Guido Castagna pralines and truffles from the tray to their respective boxes and closing them with the appropriate lids. A perfectly successful application thanks also to Piab's multi-function system, which can perfectly adapt to the collaborative robot to respond together to any kind of need, in any environment, even the most delicate ones.
Master chocolatier Guido Castagna had fun playing with our collaborative robot and together they give us a sweet recipe for the holidays! Tender cake, a simple and affordable dessert made in an alternative way thanks to the versatility of Piab's gripping systems and the incredible movements of our collaborative robot. Under the watchful eye of Guido Castagna , who supervised every step of the preparation, we baked the first cake born from the human/cobot collaboration.
